Senior Java Developer - Mobility for the Future - Dresden - 85k

The mission is to create sustainable, efficient, and environmentally-friendly urban mobility solutions through the development of innovative IT solutions, services, and apps in the field of mobility, traffic, and environmental management. We work with strong partners from Saxony, Brandenburg, Germany, and Europe in small, agile, cross-functional, self-sufficient, and independent teams.

• Development of Java, Spring Boot microservices in the Kubernetes cluster.
• Configuration of and deployment into CI/CD pipelines.
• Real-time processing of large amounts of data from networked devices (apps, cars, bicycles, traffic lights, buses, trains...) using an event-based system (Kafka).
• Active participation in discussions about new solutions and troubleshooting.
• Quality assurance, support, and documentation of our software.

Your profile:

• A completed degree in computer science/business informatics or comparable IT work experience.
• Very good knowledge of Java, with the Spring Boot framework.
• Knowledge with containerisation with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of database principles: MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL.
• Experience with message brokers, Kafka or RabbitMQ, and operations tooling GIT, Maven, etc.
• Safe handling of a common development environment.
• Very good knowledge of German (at least C1).
