Our client, a leading organization headquartered in Hannover with operational presence in Frankfurt, is currently seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead the implementation of SaaS-based Treasury and Consolidation applications.

Framework Conditions :

• Start : immediately
• Duration : 7 months (with extension options)
• Location : primarily remote, with occasional workshops onsite near Frankfurt
• Contract type : Freelance
• Note : Due to client requirements, only EU-based candidates will be considered

Tasks

• Effectively manage the entire project management life cycle in alignment to clients IT project management standards for both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, and ensure implementation of efficient and high-quality IT solutions
• Manage the IT Team for both implementations - Treasury and Consolidtion SaaS Systems
• Align business requirements with IT capabilities, ensuring technical feasibility and proper documentation.
• Ensure all implemented solutions comply with internal cybersecurity standards, and data protection regulations
• Involve the Works Council where necessary and ensure compliance with co-determination and employee-related processes during system changes and implementations.
• Lead all stakeholders throughout the entire project life cycle, seek for problem solving and perform escalation management.
• Plan and control the overall project budget within the project activities such as external consultancy, pilot and roll-out implementation, service support delivery, and running costs.
• Recommend best fit technology solutions in alignment with the Group IT strategy which ensures that the solutions fulfil customer requirements and can be easily integrated in the existing business environment and existing infrastructure.
• Provides proactive guidance, ownership, and leadership to project team members in the project implementation.
• Ensure successful collaboration with internal departments and external partners and service providers.

Requirements

Must-have :

• Proven 10+ years of experience in IT project management, in the context of financial systems – especially Treasury and Consolidation.
• Solid understanding and hands-on experience with SaaS solution implementations, including vendor coordination, integration, and post-go-live support.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile and Waterfall), with the ability to manage complex multi-stakeholder environments.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Experience with data migration, testing strategies, and change management in system rollout projects.
• Sound understanding of IT architecture, cybersecurity, and compliance (e.g., GDPR, audit requirements).
• Fluency in English is required
• Experience in working with Works Councils or regulated environments is advantageous.

Nice-to-have :

• Knowledge of German is considered a plus.
• Familiarity with COUPA and / or Lucanet.
