Job Description

Are you passionate about IT infrastructure and a broad technology landscape? Join us and work with a cross-functional team utilizing various technologies in a complex environment of global data centers.

Your Role

Kühne + Nagel operates a private cloud environment across multiple globally distributed data centers, providing global IT infrastructure services that enable development teams to develop and run their applications. The Global Compute, Storage, and Backup Team offers relevant services around virtualization, storage, SAN, and backup for both private and public clouds. In this team, you will collaborate with colleagues to further optimize and automate our existing infrastructure.

Your Responsibilities

1. Further develop and optimize our storage landscape and its maintenance, both on-premises and in the cloud.
2. Design, plan, and implement new releases and updates.
3. Maintain and optimize the SANs in the global data centers of KN.
4. Automate recurring tasks.
5. Actively contribute to backup topics.
6. Support our DevOps teams as a consultant and point of contact for colleagues in automation and provide 3rd level support for storage and backup queries.
7. Participate in weekly on-call duty.

Qualifications

1. Completed degree, ideally in business or computer science, or a comparable qualification.
2. Senior level experience in architecture, administration, and operation of enterprise storage products, preferably NetApp and Pure, specifically NetApp OnTap and StorageGRID.
3. Excellent knowledge of backup and snapshot technologies, preferably Commvault.
4. Good knowledge of Brocade SAN.
5. Practical experience with scripting languages (. PowerShell, Python, JavaScript).
6. Experience in virtualization is advantageous.
7. Excellent German and English skills.
8. Strong communication skills combined with a team-oriented approach in an international environment.
9. High self-motivation, flexibility, and innovation.
