Job Description

Our Analyst Programme starts with an intensive training Programme which will equip you with the fundamental skillset needed to thrive in investment banking. You’ll be trained alongside Moelis’ entire Analyst 2025 class which will enable you to develop valuable relationships with your peers from all offices. Upon your return to your office location, the two and a half year Programme will commence with you being staffed on a number of deals across a variety of industries and products. There will be unparalleled access to the senior bankers on each deal that you are staffed on, which will enable you to learn from industry leading corporate financiers.

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Supports senior managers in origination activities including (but not limited to): preparing historical and projected financial statements, provide analysis of financial implications of mergers and acquisitions and conducting public & private valuation analysis for major corporations.
  2. Involved in execution activities, including basic responsibilities such as data gathering, analysis and material preparation, as well as taking responsibility for managing standard processes such as preparing deal documentation.
  3. Builds and applies valuation models based on financial research & analysis including comparable company analysis, discounted cash flow analysis and comparable acquisitions analysis.
  4. Prepares analytical materials to support necessary credit, compliance, engagement committee and balance sheet approvals.
  5. Conducts corporate operations reviews, portfolio analytic reviews and prepare risk/return valuations.
  6. Gathers and processes market share data and shareholder and investor profiles.

Required Skills & Experience

  1. Results driven and able to perform well under pressure and against tight deadlines.
  2. Strong analytical and numerical skills that put you at ease with financial data.
  3. Proven team player who is able to effectively interact with a wide variety of internal groups and clients.
  4. Strong multi-tasking skills.
  5. Strong Microsoft Office suite (Excel a must) and financial reporting skills.

Requirements:

  1. Native or fluent in German.
  2. Studying for a degree from a top-tier university; focus in finance, business, accounting, economics, mathematics is preferred.
  3. Prior intern experience in M&A at a leading investment bank.
