Are you ready to lead the charge against cybersecurity threats? Join our CERT team as an Incident Response Coordinator and play a pivotal role in safeguarding our clients' digital journey. This strategic position combines leadership, coordination, and proactive planning to ensure swift and effective responses to security incidents.
As an Incident Response Coordinator, you will oversee the execution of incident response plans, manage resources, and guide teams through the lifecycle of cybersecurity incidents. Your expertise will help organizations recover quickly while strengthening their defenses for the future.
You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams of investigators, recovery specialists, and behavioral experts during incidents to ensure seamless collaboration as well as overseeing the investigation, containment, and remediation of security breaches while minimizing operational disruptions. You will act as a liaison between clients, senior management, and external parties, providing timely updates on incident progress and resolution.
In quieter times you will analyze post-incident reports to identify lessons learned and implement improvements in response protocols.
You develop and refine incident response strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements, mentor team members, and facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions to enhance collective expertise.
If you are up to it, we would like you to represent Northwave at conferences, industry events, or webinars. Build relationships with potential clients, share thought leadership, and promote Northwave's capabilities in incident response and cybersecurity solutions.
Join our dynamic CERT team, skilled Incident Responders, coordinators, and leaders committed to continuous improvement. Collaborate on-site with cross-functional teams, dedicated to resolving client-specific challenges. Share insights and expertise to strengthen our collective capabilities, serving clients across Europe.
First things first: you will receive a permanent employment contract with 30 days' holiday per year. For your on-call duties, you receive an additional allowance as well as for overtime hours during incidents. Apart from incidents, you can organize your own working hours in consultation with your colleagues and customers.
What do you want to achieve and what support do you need? You will receive regular training and support in achieving your professional goals. You can also develop further within Northwave.
It is important to us to respect and value each other - as professionals and as people. The best way to get to know your 275+ colleagues from the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Belgium, and Sweden is to take part in one of our many activities, e.g., a joint trip to the theme park.
You will be equipped with a modern MacBook and iPhone. We have height-adjustable desks in our offices and our CEO loves to kit us out with merchandise.
In order to be mobile at all times, you will receive either a company car or a BahnCard 100 (also for private use).
No, the fruit basket in the office is not a benefit for us, but a matter of course - just like coffee, tea, and lemonade. Have you ever tried Dutch caramel waffles?
The most important thing for us is that you fit into the team and are keen to help shape and advance Northwave. Of course, we also have a few technical requirements for this position.
For this role, you are best equipped with a degree in computer science, Information Security, or a relevant Management degree.
You should come with proven experience in incident response and/or crisis management as well as broad experience in managing large projects and/or teams with the ability to make critical decisions under pressure.
Excellent communication skills to engage with technical teams and executive stakeholders along with strategic thinking to anticipate threats and improve organizational resilience are key factors for this role. Experience speaking at conferences or participating in industry events would definitely be a plus. What we are generally seeking for is a proactive mindset with a passion for business development and networking within the cybersecurity community.
I look forward to receiving your application.
