Vishay Electronic GmbH in Selb is looking for a Senior HR Generalist (m/w/d).

Job Location:

Vishay Electronic GmbH in Selb is a production site for passive components. Since 1996 as part of Vishay, we have been manufacturing resistors and capacitors. These electronic components are used in medical, entertainment, and automotive electronics, among others. With around 900 employees, Vishay is a key employer in our region. The town of Selb is located directly on the Czech border and boasts scenic surroundings of the Fichtelgebirge.

Key Role And Responsibilities

1. Understand the company’s strategic intent and partner with business leaders in planning and executing talent management programs such as workforce planning, talent acquisition, onboarding, talent development, promotions, change leadership, and organizational design and development.
2. Act on behalf of the HR Manager to ensure continuity of ongoing activities and support/drive all ongoing HR activities as required.
3. Work closely with leaders to drive business results, improve working relationships, and increase productivity and employee engagement.
4. Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues.
5. Maintain knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring compliance.
6. Provide performance management guidance to managers, including coaching, career development, and corrective actions.
7. Collaborate with other HR team members on projects and HR programs.
8. Oversee day-to-day HR operations such as recruiting, benefits, employee relations, health and safety, training, and policy communication.
9. Partner with the local works council.

Your Skills And Experience

While skills are not set in stone, we expect the following profile to succeed in this role. We are looking for someone with the ambition and interest to lead the local HR team in the short term.

1. University degree in HR, Business Management, Legal, or related field.
2. 6-8 years of experience in a customer-facing HR role, preferably in an international, worker’s council, and matrix environment.
3. Ability to multi-task, delegate, and maintain a solution-oriented, team-player attitude.
4. Strong communication skills at various levels of authority and influence, with the ability to connect well with employees and leave a positive impression.
5. Ability to work under pressure and nurture key relationships.
6. Proficient in German and English, with the ability to influence and interface with internal and external contacts.
7. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
8. Experience with HRIS systems (Workday) is beneficial.
9. Fluent in German and very good English skills.
