Job Description:

Your Tasks

• Design and plan high voltage cable systems from 11kV to 400kV, onshore or offshore.
• Produce cable system design calculations, cable rating calculations, thermomechanical force, and electromagnetic force calculations.
• Collaborate with CAD technicians on cable route layouts and trench cross sections.
• Act as lead cable engineer/planner, providing HV cable systems and installation designs.
• Work closely with UK design teams to ensure compliance with local standards.
• Ensure timely and within-budget delivery of design scope.

Your Profile

• Experience in designing, managing, or producing reports and drawings for HV power transmission systems, HVDC interconnectors, or HV renewable energy infrastructure in the DACH region.
• Full working proficiency in German and good English skills.
• Specialist knowledge in High Voltage Substations.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to BakerHicks offices in Basel and London.

Traveling activity

Projects typically last 6 to 24 months. Work locations are mainly at the customer sites, with some opportunities for remote work in consultation with project management. Employees have the chance to work with diverse customers and technologies, exploring new cities while returning home on weekends.
