Zusammenfassung

tesa is seeking a highly skilled (Senior) Group Accountant (m/f/x) to join our Hamburg team. You will prepare high-quality group financial statements and elevate consolidation processes, contributing to the IFRS Excellence Center for the tesa Group.

You will steer quarterly and annual IFRS reporting, oversee consolidation activities, and act as the IFRS subject-matter expert across group entities. The role includes driving continuous improvement, leveraging IT tools and AI to enhance efficiency,

Qualifikationen

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA/ACCA preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in group accounting or auditing, international environment.
  • Deep IFRS knowledge and consolidation techniques.
  • Experience applying IT tools and AI to improve finance processes.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, financial software, and Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Project and process management experience is a strong plus.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Aufgaben

  • Lead IFRS goodwill and asset impairment test process with relevant parties.
  • Act as IFRS subject matter expert and trusted advisor across group entities.
  • Ensure IFRS compliance and drive continuous improvement of accounting standards and procedures.
  • Promote IT tools and AI applications to automate and digitally transform finance processes.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits, respond to inquiries, and implement recommendations.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and reporting quality.
  • Drive project and process management initiatives within Group Accounting.

  • Steer the preparation of quarterly and annual group financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
  • Oversee and perform consolidation activities and ensure accurate integration of financial data from all entities.
  • Lead the IFRS goodwill and asset impairment test process and align with all relevant parties.
  • Act as the IFRS subject matter expert and trusted advisor across all group entities.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS and internal policies; drive continuous improvement of accounting standards and procedures.
  • Promote efficiency through the use of IT tools and AI applications, identifying opportunities for automation and digital transformation.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits, respond to inquiries, and implement recommendations.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and reporting quality.
  • Drive project and process management initiatives within the Group Accounting function.
Your Profile
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in group accounting or auditing, ideally in an international environment.
  • Deep knowledge of IFRS and consolidation techniques.
  • Proven experience in applying IT tools and AI technologies to improve finance processes, with strong skills in identifying automation opportunities and implementing practical digital solutions
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, financial software, and advanced Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Experience in project and process management is a strong plus.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Adaptable, self-motivated, and committed to continuous improvement.
