Mission Brief

As part of the Guidance, Navigation, & Control team, you will lead the technical development of the Inertial Navigation system of the launch vehicle. You will be responsible for developing the necessary simulation environments, implementing algorithms and perform validation campaigns. Furthermore, you will work on software used in GNC development.

More specifically, you will:

  • Perform Navigation algorithm tuning and improvements based on flight data
  • Design and tune discrete filters based on flight data
  • Be able to perform and setup scripts for Monte Carlo simulation, as well as analyse them
  • Run and automise GNSS testing campaigns in HIL environment
  • Create and own licensing relevant navigation documentation
  • Support flight safety relevant fault analysis

Qualification Checklist

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics or similar
  • At least 5 years of experience in mathematical modelling, development and validation of algorithms in the field of aided inertial navigation
  • Experience with GNSS receiver configuration and testing (GNSS simulator test setups)
  • Strong background in mathematical modelling and data analysis in MATLAB and all relevant Tools (Simulink, Stateflow, autocoding etc.)
  • Proficient in data analysis in frequency and time domain with Python
  • Strong understanding of descrete signal processing techniques
  • Experience in C/C++ flight software development
  • Proficient in Inertial navigation algorithms and Kalman filter techniques
  • Fluent English

Bonus Skills

  • Experience with RTK is a plus
  • Experience with software project maintain in GIT and Jira is a plus
