Senior Global Digitalization Manager (m/f/d) – Manufacturing 4.0 Implementation

Overview

As the Senior Global Digitalization Manager (m/f/d), you will be responsible for defining and executing a best-in-class digitalization strategy across our global manufacturing network. You will drive the transformation towards fully integrated, state-of-the-art Manufacturing 4.0 operations, leveraging ERP, APS, MES, manufacturing applications, and advanced automation technologies.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic Digitalization Leadership: Act as the primary advisor and visionary for digitalization initiatives across all manufacturing stages, while developing and maintaining a comprehensive digitalization roadmap aligned with Manufacturing 4.0 principles and business objectives.
  • Automation, AI & Digital Transformation: Lead the design and implementation of automation strategies that incorporate robotics, AI, IoT, and data analytics, and oversee the deployment of ERP, APS, MES, and manufacturing applications to enable smart factory concepts and end-to-end connectivity.
  • Cross-Plant Collaboration & Standardization: Establish and lead cross-plant digitalization teams to align digital and AI initiatives, standardizing best practices and technologies across all locations and ensuring consistent adoption of digital tools and automation solutions.
  • Technology Investment & Process Optimization: Provide recommendations for investments in digital, AI, and automation solutions, and develop strategies to optimize the utilization of existing equipment and systems by integrating TPM and Manufacturing 4.0 principles.
  • Change Management & Stakeholder Engagement: Drive cultural change to promote a digital-first mindset throughout the organization, and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, from shop floor to executive leadership.
Qualifications / Requirements
  • Education: Master’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a comparable technical field
  • Expertise: Deep understanding of manufacturing technologies and processes
  • Experience: Proven track record in implementing Manufacturing 4.0 technologies, digital transformation, ERP, APS, MES, industrial automation systems, robotics, and IIoT platforms in manufacturing environments
  • Project Management: Extensive experience in leading large-scale digital transformation projects, managing budgets, timelines, and cross-functional teams
  • Change Management: Strong change management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and drive organizational change
  • Automation: Hands-on experience with automation technologies, including robotics, AI, IoT, and data-driven manufacturing processes
  • Languages: Fluency in German and English; intercultural experience and willingness to travel
