A world-leading provider of imaging products and services based in Amstelveen has an exciting opportunity for a Senior General Ledger Accountant to join their international team.

As a Team Lead, you will be part of the European Finance & Accounting department and report directly to the Finance Manager.

ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS :

TYPE : Full-time role, initially 1-year contract (potential to be extended)

WORKING HOURS : 37.5 hours per week

LOCATION : Amstelveen, The Netherlands (Hybrid working style)

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  1. Ensure proper and contemporary bookkeeping including monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual closing (balance sheet, income statement, general ledger).
  2. Participate in month-end closing operational processes.
  3. Manage inventory stock provision.
  4. Handle VAT and Intrastat filings.
  5. Perform balance sheet reconciliations.
  6. Act as the main contact for the Finance Center of Excellence (captive SSC).
  7. Support business managers with financial advice.
  8. Implement improvements through technology, process optimization, and procedure simplification.
  9. Maintain accounting policies and procedures.
  10. Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures.
  11. Analyze accounting records and data.
  12. Identify deviations and clear key general ledger and sub-accounts.
  13. Perform J-SOX controls within your area.
  14. Handle payroll accounting.

Ideal Candidate :

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting & reporting.
  • Higher education (HBO or higher) in finance or related field.
  • Experience in an international environment preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience with IFRS preferred.
  • Proficiency in SAP.
  • Knowledge of Dutch tax regulations preferred.
  • Excellent English communication skills.
  • Potential to grow and learn.
  • Good understanding of international contexts and communication skills.
  • Team player with good organizational skills.
  • Must have the right to work in the Netherlands; visa sponsorship is not available.
