Qualifikationen

CarOnSale is a start-up in the heart of Berlin. As a tech company, we have made it our mission to enable smooth digital processes in the automotive trade across Europe. Join us and develop new, innovative solutions for the B2B sector.

We are looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer with a Backend focus to join our Marketplace engineering team in Berlin, Munich or Brazil. We are looking for strong candidates who have had experience in building solutions end to end, which means we value breadth of experience over specialization. Despite the backend focus, you will be constantly challenged to build/maintain features from start to finish.

Your tasks:
  • You will mentor less experienced engineers.
  • You identify and define technical and product requirements, design development processes (CI/CD) and standards (e.g. for code quality).
  • You will lead and support engineering processes in terms of technology screening, architecture design decisions and actual implementation.
  • You will moderate team sessions and guide and support your team members with your experience to tackle technical and process challenges.
  • You are providing technical feedback to your team members in frequent sessions to help them grow.
Your profile:
  • At least 5 years of experience in Software Engineering (including Backend and Frontend).
  • You have previous experience in coaching and mentoring engineers and/or other technical staff.
  • You have a hands-on mentality towards not only technical but also organizational challenges.
  • You are a native speaker of TypeScript and familiar with technologies such as Node, NestJS, Angular and PostgreSQL.
  • You have experience with modern SCM, Build & Release Tools (Git, CI, Docker, etc.).
  • You have practical experience with agile development frameworks like Scrum or Kanban and tools like JIRA and Confluence.
  • You have excellent English communication and relationship-building skills.
Nice to have:
  • Conversational German skills.
  • Experience in the automotive industry.
