Senior Full Stack Engineer (Node.js & TypeScript)

This role is part of our ScraperAPI team, one of our growing brands at saas.group.

Profile Overview

We’re looking for new members to join our small and focused engineering team to build the next generation of web scraping tools together. We’re building a world where data collection is a breeze and where publicly available data is at anyone’s doorstep - should you be a marketplace looking for competitor information or an SEO agency collecting search engine data for your customers. The role offers challenges that will keep your brain busy, a chance to work on a large scale product that customers can rely on, a modern tech stack and a great team where people learn from each other.

By the end of your first 6 months with us:

• we would expect you to have developed a reasonable level of understanding of our tech stack, codebase and our CI and CD practices;
• we would expect you to have successfully completed multiple minor bug fixes or feature enhancements; and
• We would expect you to have successfully delivered at least one major feature enhancement.

Your responsibilities

In your new role you will be responsible for helping to build, maintain and improve our ability to fetch and transform data for our customers, which is vital to our current and future service offerings.

• You will also be responsible for helping to maintain and further develop a large transactional SaaS API and related components that handle tens of thousands of requests every second.

As your role progresses and develops, you will also be responsible for helping to build out our other new service offerings.

What You bring to the table

• Solid background with large scale SAAS applications (tens of thousands of API calls every second)
• Interest in data - fetch, parse data and make it structured for our customers; all these in a scalable, automated way
• Experience with Node.js and TypeScript - we are not looking for a specialized developer, but we also don’t want to start from scratch
• Focus on developing for our customers, not for the sake of just releasing things
