Your mission

We're looking for a product-mindedSenior Full-Stack Engineer to join our team and help shape the future of the deskbird hybrid workplace experience platform. In this role, you’ll be part of a cross-functional squad, designing, building, and delivering features end-to-end for our core product. While strong frontend expertise is essential, this position is ideal for someone who enjoys working across the entire stack from crafting seamless user interfaces to designing robust, scalable backend services.

This is a remote position open to candidates based in Europe.

In this role you will

• Contribute significantly to the deskbird platform, currently serving 150,000+ users by ensuring a scalable, maintainable, and high-performance codebase.
• Take full ownership of features from conception to deployment, working across the frontend and backend, with an emphasis on building exceptional user interfaces.
• Coach and review the work of other developers focused on the frontend.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to design and integrate APIs, ensuring an efficient data flow between frontend and backend services. The more familiar you are with backend development, the more complex features you can own end to end.
• Optimise application performance, accessibility, and user experience, ensuring our platform meets enterprise-grade requirements.
• Collaborate with product managers and UX designers to validate features early and iterate based on feedback.
• Lead cross-cutting technical initiatives that impact multiple teams, driving best practices in frontend development and architecture.

What you need to be successful

• 5+ years of experience in full-stack web development, with emphasis on frontend engineering (Angular, TypeScript, RxJS).
• The ability to convert beautiful designs into high quality code.
• Experience with reusable components, design systems, and/or storybook.
• At least basic backend development skills with Node.js and REST APIs.
• Strong understanding of frontend performance optimisation, accessibility, and modern web architecture best practices.
• A good understanding of the latest developments in AI code generation and experience using the state of the art (e.g., Github Copilot, ideally Cursor or Windsurf).
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with fluency in English.

Nice-to-have

• Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, ideally GitHub Actions.
• Knowledge of monorepos (Nx).
• Experience with GCP and/or Firebase (big plus).
