Job summary

About You - Collins GmbH & Co. KG is seeking a backend engineer to design and maintain scalable RESTful APIs and microservices powering the checkout experience. You will build event-driven pipelines with AWS SNS/SQS for asynchronous payments, orders, and inventory processing.

You will optimize database queries (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and Redis caching to handle massive traffic. You will write automated tests, review PRs, and advocate for sustainable architecture and clean code.

Qualifications

• Proficient in PHP backend development with Laravel and Symfony.
• Experience delivering RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Comfort with scalable database design (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and caching (Redis).
• Familiarity with cloud-based event-driven architectures (AWS SNS/SQS).
• Ability to write tests, review code, and promote clean, maintainable architecture.
• Collaborates closely with product, QA and DevOps teams in sprints.
