Job Responsibilities

• Lead the development, maintenance, and enhancement of our e-commerce platform, prioritizing backend development.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features and enhancements.
• Apply your advanced expertise in Kotlin and backend development, utilizing frameworks such as Ktor.
• Utilize streams and functional programming techniques to manage data and system processes efficiently.
• Engage in test-driven development to ensure robust, reliable software solutions.
• Contribute to frontend development, preferably with knowledge in React or Preact.
• Influence system architecture and design discussions, driving technological growth with a senior perspective.

Minimum Requirements

• Mandatory German residence.
• At least 4 years of proven experience as a Full Stack Developer, with a focus on backend development.
• Strong technical design skills with a senior-level understanding of software development.
• Medium to advanced proficiency in Kotlin, with a good grasp of streams and functional programming.
• Demonstrated experience in handling high data volumes and complex backend systems.
• Familiarity with frontend technologies such as React or Preact is advantageous.
• Proven experience with major cloud providers (AWS, Google Cloud).
• Hands-on experience with SQL databases.
• Knowledge of software design patterns like Microservices, Self-Contained Systems, and Domain-Driven Design is beneficial.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, as well as good German skills.
