As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will have a significant impact on a product at the forefront of AI, working alongside passionate engineers in Berlin who set high standards for code quality, product thinking, and continuous improvement.

Tasks

1. Lead Frontend Development: Own the design and implementation of intuitive, responsive UIs for our AI knowledge platform using React and TypeScript, impacting thousands of users daily from day one.
2. Feature Ownership: Collaborate with product and design teams to translate user needs into features, from concept through architectural design to polished release. Build interfaces and Chrome extension features with attention to detail and robustness.
3. Code Quality & Performance: Write clean, maintainable code and unit tests, conduct peer reviews, and optimize for performance and scalability to ensure a fast, stable frontend as usage grows.
4. Cross-Stack Collaboration: Work with backend engineers to integrate APIs seamlessly and influence overall architecture, often diving into full-stack development for end-to-end excellence.
5. Innovation & Improvement: Continuously enhance frontend tooling and developer experience, experimenting with new technologies, including AI coding agents like Cursor, to automate, innovate, and improve velocity and quality.
6. Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior developers, share knowledge, and lead by example to foster an environment focused on shipping great code without unnecessary meetings or debugging marathons.

Requirements

• Technical Skills & Experience: Extensive experience (5+ years) with React and TypeScript, building modern web applications. Deep understanding of state management, component design, and performance optimization. Strong commitment to code quality, testing, and code reviews. User-centric approach with attention to UI/UX. Proficiency with modern development tools and workflows. Bonus: Experience with AI-based dev tools and full-stack familiarity with APIs or cloud infrastructure.
