Senior Frontend Developer

Senior Frontend Developer required by Whitehall Resources for a 4-6 Month extendable project assignment for our client based in Germany.

There are urgent requirements so our client is looking for candidates that are available to start at short notice and they are ready to schedule interviews quickly.

Start Date: Immediate/ASAP
Duration: 4-6 Months with further extension
Delivery: 100% Remote (CET time zone)
Location: Candidates must be based within the EU
Language: English speaking

Role:
Our client is currently looking Senior Frontend Engineers with strong experience in UI/UX development, and ideally experience with token-based design systems in large-scale applications.

Experience Required:
- 10+ years professional experience as Frontend Developer. JavaScript/Typescript and 6+ years Experience with React or React like Frameworks (Preact, Inferno, etc.). - Deep knowledge and understanding of HTML5, CSS, JS Engine.
- Experience with token-based design systems.
- Experience with applying accessibility best practices to frontend applications, accessibility auditing and accessibility automated testing.
- Experience with Testing (unit, functional, integration and e2e testing) with tools like Playwright, Jest, React-Testing-Library or similar.
- Experience with frontend optimization techniques, code splitting, data and state management, asset bundling and cache optimizations.
- Takes proactive initiatives to improve the code base, product and contribute to the development workflow and able to document and lead discussion on those initiatives.
- Having hands-on experience with frontend related CI/CD processes; such as building/bundling and deployment of code with technologies like Webpack, Babel, Docker, Travis/Github Actions/CircleCI etc.
- Experience with Error Reporting, Monitoring tools like Sentry, Datadog or New Relic.
