Overview
Abbott Diagnostics Manufacturing Operations Finance in Wiesbaden has a new opening for a Senior Financial Analyst / Production Controlling (m/f/d). This role will support the FP&A Manager & Controller with providing financial planning and analysis for the business by building and managing standard costs & financial reports, preparing analysis for business reviews and other ad-hoc requests.
Responsibilities
- Create financial analysis and reports (Plan, Latest Best Estimate (LBE) and Long-Range Plan (LRP)) for P&L, headcount and balance sheet metrics and comment on variances that meet the timing and quality of presentation requirements, facilitate management review and decision making.
- Calculate Standard costs on ad-hoc basis and with mass cost runs in SAP as well as activity rates calculation.
- Calculate, analyze and comment on monthly manufacturing variances and recommend alternative courses of action.
- Provide financial support to the business partner with the manufacturing leadership team to create budget and forecast. Perform ad-hoc requests and drive analytic projects for senior management, with financial modeling, data mining and presentation support.
- Develop detailed financial forecasts incorporating historic, trended and current business information.
- Perform month-end close activities including journal entries, expense & project spend analysis and manage accrual accounts.
- Run headcount and payroll reports and ensure integrity with SAP and Workday
- Calculate and prepare Request for Capital Expenditure (RCE) business cases, including return on investment analysis.
- Prepare and support monthly review meetings with management.
- Administer approval databases and systems (eMDO, SRM, GRC…).

- Provide financial support and fully support achievement of financial plans, goals and objectives not only within Finance, but also to our business partners
- Meet deadlines and critical deliverables and balance workload requirements.
- Ensure integrity and reasonableness of financial data as well as compliance with Corporate / Division financial policies and procedures as well as GAAP and SOX / Internal Controls.
- Seek guidance and deliver proposed solutions on issues outside of normal scope.
- Very organized with good interpersonal, procedural and communication skills.
Qualifications
- Several years of experience in finance, preferably in manufacturing industry including Standard Costing in SAP.
- Bachelor Degree in accounting, controlling, finance or business administration, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Ownership and Independence
- Willingness to learn & teach and to improve/automate/fix processes
- Strong SAP and Excel skills. BI tools are a plus
- Demonstrated ability to provide analysis to support decision making & methodical approach to problem solving as well as an efficient work ethic.
