Responsibilities

• Financial Operations Excellence
• Accounts Receivable Management: Maintain customer master data, monitor credit limits, manage collection processes and ensure accurate account reconciliations
• Accounts Payable Operations: Process incoming invoices efficiently, create electronic payment runs and maintain vendor account reconciliation
• Payment Processing: Handle all incoming and outgoing payments across multiple channels (bank transfers, cash, credit card transactions)
• Strategic Financial Support
• Financial Reporting: Support the preparation of financial statements under German HGB standards and contribute to month-end / year end closing processes
• Assure local German Compliance
• Corporate Reporting: Input financial results into corporate databases and support group reporting requirements
• Specialized Operations
• Customs & Trade: Review customs notifications and manage post-clearance documentation processes
• Expense Management: Verify and process employee travel expenses with attention to policy compliance
• SOX Compliance: Prepare documentation and provide support for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance requirements
• Communication & Collaboration
• Stakeholder Relations: Maintain professional correspondence with internal customers and tax consultants in both German and English in a matrix setup
• Cross-functional Support: Collaborate with various departments and regions (US, Asia, EU) to ensure smooth financial operations

Requirements

What Were Looking For

Essential Skills

• Strong background and studies in Accounting and finance operations
• At least 7-10 years working in a similar role
• Proficiency in German and English (written and verbal)
• Experience with accounts receivable / payable processes
• Knowledge of German accounting standards (HGB, IFRS)
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data handling
• Advanced Excel and financial software skills (e.g., SAGE, QAD)
