A leading global technology company is seeking a Senior Field Service Engineer to join their team, supporting cutting-edge systems used in semiconductor manufacturing.

This is a remote-based position but ideally suited to someone based in the Dresden area due to the location of the customers. It is a rare opportunity to work with a small, specialised team in a niche but vital technology area—and to grow into a leadership role.

What You will Do

• Install, calibrate, and maintain high-precision systems.
• Troubleshoot complex hardware / software issues and lead escalations across customer sites.
• Train and support customers on tool operation and maintenance.
• Work closely with service and technical teams to ensure tool performance and reliability.
• Support a team of engineers and develop into a team leadership position over time.

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of hands-on experience servicing capital equipment, ideally in semiconductor front-end environments.
• Experience with lithography tools or mask inspection systems would be ideal. Other suitable experience would include understanding of vacuum systems, cleanroom procedures, and metrology tools (e.g. SEM, CDSEM).
• Confident troubleshooting skills and experience managing technical escalations.
• Fluent in English with good conversational German (B1 minimum, B2 ideal).
• Willing to travel across Europe (approx. 40%).
• Background in physics, electronics, microtechnology, or mechatronics.
