As our Engineering Manager, you will:
- Be responsible for developing talent - guiding along career paths, evaluating and promoting people, elaborating best practices, and standardizing ways of working along the software development lifecycle, building a strong engineering culture in our company.
- Manage growth, keeping systems scalable and quality high, with deep integration into the IoT and FinTech areas of our business.
- Being responsible for inspiring and growing the software engineering team.
- Developing people and teams through coaching, mentoring, and feedback.
- Working with the recruiting team to attract, onboard, and retain talents.
- Collaborating closely with Value Teams, product owners, architects, agile coaches, and other stakeholders to deliver world-class software solutions in the area of E-Mobility.
- Advocating and advancing modern software development practices to increase efficiency.
- Helping develop and evangelize great engineering and organizational practices.
- Being hands-on and willing to jump into coding when needed.
- You are experienced in leading, coaching, and mentoring software development teams and delivering stable, high-quality software.
- You care about developing and growing people.
- You have knowledge of software engineering practices.
- You have solid experience working in fintech and agile environments.
- You stay up-to-date with the latest technologies, languages, frameworks, and practices.
- You bring at least 8 years of hands-on experience in backend development and 6 years of leadership experience.
- You have excellent skills in Java/Kotlin development with Spring Framework (Spring Boot).
- Knowledge of Quarkus.io is a plus.
- You have excellent knowledge of web technologies (REST, XML, JSON).
- You are confident with relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- You have solid knowledge of cloud service providers like Azure.
- You are familiar with container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and serverless functions like Azure Functions.
