Senior Engineer Project

PT Merdeka Copper Gold Mining Company is an Indonesian mining company that operates in copper and gold mining, with a long-term expected mine life followed by processing stockpiles.

To support our mining operations and expansion projects, we are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional to fill the following position:

Senior Engineer Project

What skills and experience do you need?

1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or appropriate discipline with a minimum of 7 years of experience at a supervisory level in Project Control Engineering, at least 10 years in the mining or EPC industry, and a minimum of 3 years on-site with demonstrated project management, cost control, and planning skills;
2. Proficient in MS Project, MS Office, and Desktop Publishing Package;
3. Proficient in Resource Analysis, understanding Contract Obligations, and Cost Control utilizing software such as SAP or other ERP;
4. Proficient in Planning & Scheduling and utilization of P6 Project management is a must;
5. Possess leadership traits and organizational, scheduling & time management skills; Ability to work both independently and as a team player and thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment dependent on managing multiple project timelines and schedules simultaneously; Ability to communicate well and work productively with internal and external individuals; A commitment to safety and a desire to maintain our Indonesian mining operations to world-class international safety standards; Demonstrate strong conceptual skills and capable of developing lateral and practical solutions; High level of integrity and commitment; Good analytical, conflict resolution, and sound decision-making skills;
6. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written; computer literate.

Some of your duties will include:

1. Provide technical design and analysis for infrastructure construction and services activities; produce daily and weekly project work plans; create and monitor timelines for project work and ensure completion on time, within budget, and to the required standard of quality;
2. Communicate project planning issues to mining process operations and/or civil sections;
3. Promote continuous improvement in the design function;
4. Provide direct support and governance to the project control team on-site for budget setup and revision; cost and progress review; month-end reporting including contract valuation;
5. Monitor utilization and efficiency of equipment used for project work; monitor the water management plan; monitor clearing progress; monitor road maintenance and payload;
6. Manage the commercial and claim functions of the project;
7. Provide key support to the project during the start-up phase;
8. Provide key support for project risk management; provide initiatives to improve commercial awareness;
