We are currently seeking a Senior Engineer (m/f/d) Suspension Design. The successful candidates will be responsible for design projects and related documentation of various components and assemblies. You will undertake 2D layouts, calculations, 3D design and development, and design of sub-assemblies. The roles may also include definition of rig tests. Working closely as part of a team of designers, you will be in charge of producing designs (including the respective tooling) and drawings as well as providing full documentation in English. An essential part of the functions is to ensure on-time delivery of projects within agreed cost limits. Be part of our research and development and works motorsport team in Cologne, Germany.

Your tasks:

  1. Be a specialist and take responsibility for motorsport projects e.g.:
  2. Suspension design and development.
  3. Suspensions kinematic layout.
  4. Suspension calculation and validation.
  5. Manufacturing processes of suspension members.
  6. Welded assemblies.
  7. ADM additive manufacturing and design including the tools required for design of ADM parts.

Be responsible for conceptual and detail design of race suspensions, undertake suspensions kinematic layouts, calculation and validation of suspensions, be in charge of producing designs (including the respective tooling) and drawings as well as providing full documentation in English, and ensure on-time delivery of projects within agreed cost limits.

The successful candidate will:

  1. Have a degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering or equivalent.
  2. Have very good design skills in conjunction with good knowledge of state-of-the-art technology and materials.
  3. Display high-level knowledge and relevant experience in motorsport parts layout and the design of high-performance components in the area of e.g. F1, WEC, WRC or DTM, GT3, GT4.
  4. Have interest in supporting our automotive engineering prototype projects as well.
  5. Be proficient with CATIA V5: solids, surfaces & drafting, FEM and the classical calculation methods, data management systems (Teamcenter) and MS Office.
  6. Be a team player who demonstrates a responsible, analytical and creative working style with solid project management capabilities, good interpersonal skills, and a flexible approach to working hours as well as the ability to deliver high quality to tight deadlines.
