Optimus Search is working with an innovative IoT company that's making serious strides in the energy sector . Their latest product is helping customers cut down on heating energy use in both new builds and existing properties — all in support of reaching net-zero goals .

They’re now looking for a Senior Embedded Developer to join the team. As a Microsoft Gold Partner , they work with the latest technologies , and this role offers the chance to get hands-on with modern cloud solutions while contributing to something with real-world impact .

Your Role

• As a key member of the team, you’ll continue to drive the firmware development for our IoT products , taking ownership of specific components and functions.
• You'll design innovative, long-lasting solutions and implement them independently, helping shape a product that stands out in the market.
• Working closely with our embedded , backend , and frontend developers —as well as hardware specialists and other cross-functional experts—you'll contribute to a seamless, integrated product.
• You'll also play a central role in defining how the products interact with our communication infrastructure and cloud system , ensuring smooth performance and connectivity.

What You Bring

• A degree or formal training in a STEM field .
• Solid experience in professional embedded development , with an understanding of long-term field operation and maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of IoT development , especially with LoRaWAN — if you know the ins and outs - then great!
• A knack for deriving insights from data and using them to improve products .
• Expertise in microcontroller programming with C / C++ , ideally for ARM Cortex-M33 (NXP) or similar platforms.
• Advanced German skills (B2 or higher) and fluency in English.
