Qualifikationen

The Position

This position involves performing a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and mechanical assemblies, such as cables and harnesses.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Learn to use basic hand tools, cutters, wire strippers, hand crimpers, scissors, soldering iron, heat gun.
• Maintain equipment through regular inspection, cleaning, servicing, and routine preventative maintenance.
• Read and understand customer drawings, parts list, wire list, specifications, and assembly router instructions for manufacturing wire harnesses and cable assemblies.
• Produce wire harness and cable assemblies using hand and power tools, including specialized crimpers, drills, soldering tools, screwdrivers, torque wrenches, wire strippers, and measuring instruments.
• Perform daily cable and harness techniques such as wire cutting, cable prep, connectorization, crimping, soldering, jacketing, braiding, molding, and testing.
• Conduct continuity checks on work in process and completed assemblies.
• Perform in-process inspections according to quality specifications.
• Test and troubleshoot subassemblies at various testing stages.
• Use SAP ERP Production Management System effectively.
• Collaborate with Engineering to improve assembly process documentation.
• Perform complex electro-mechanical assembly operations of wire harnessing parts, components, and subassemblies.
• Follow health and safety rules, properly use safety equipment, and exercise caution in all activities.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Technical degree preferred.
• 3 to 5 years’ experience in wire harness and cable assembly manufacturing.
• Electro-mechanical assembly experience; aerospace and defense experience a plus.
• Strong crimping, connectorization, and soldering skills.
• IPC/WHMA-A-620 Certification, J-STD Certification preferred.
• Ability to work under a microscope for inspection.
• Demonstrate manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
• Sufficient strength and motor skills to handle and route cables of various sizes.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, BOMs, and blueprints.
• Adhere to safety standards and possess attention to detail.
• Team player with good communication skills in English.
• Pass visual acuity and depth perception requirements.
