Position Overview:

The Senior Director of Technical Services / Manufacturing Support (TS/MS) is responsible for providing strategic and technical leadership within Elanco's manufacturing network, overseeing activities at sites including Kiel, Banwol, Huningue, Santa Clara, and Kansas City. This role involves managing product and process support, maintaining standards, and leading technical transfer, value capture, and network rationalization initiatives. The role also involves collaboration with R&D and external partners to support new product introductions and manufacturing optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure products and manufacturing processes are in control, capable, compliant, and continuously improving.
• Maintain compliance with global quality and manufacturing standards across external and internal manufacturing sites.
• Support the commercialization of new products, ensuring robust processes and technical capabilities.
• Assess and support technical aspects of business development and acquisitions.
• Partner with the TS/MS team to develop talent and collaborate with R&D for support of pilot plant activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience with both drug substance and drug product manufacturing.
• Effective communication skills in multicultural settings.
• Ability to influence and build collaborative relationships.
• Familiarity with Elanco's global quality standards.
• Bachelor's degree in a scientific field; advanced degrees preferred.
• At least 15 years of relevant pharma/biopharma experience, including contract manufacturing support.
• Experience with various manufacturing technologies, e.g., API, liquids, parenteral, oral solids.
• On-site leadership experience at manufacturing sites.

• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
• No sensitivities to Elanco products.
• Standard Monday-Friday work hours with flexibility.

Other Information:

• Direct reports: 3-10, with matrixed/dotted line reporting.
• Travel required for site visits and investigations.
