Position Description

The Senior Director TS / MS Elanco Manufacturing Network is responsible for providing technical and strategic leadership for Elanco’s TS / MS function within the network. This role oversees all technical product and process support activities at various Elanco Manufacturing Sites (Kiel, Banwol, Huningue, Santa Clara, Kansas City) and manages Solids / Parenteral central support as needed. Additionally, the role maintains a TS / MS network SME / Product steward group for solid / parenteral platforms and oversees the Huningue Pilot plant. The group collaborates with Elanco EEM Hubs, internal TS / MS sites, and R&D to support Elanco’s IPP Agenda, focusing on technical transfer, value capture, and network rationalization, including consolidation of manufacturing footprints, new product launches, and product transfers.

Functions, Duties, Tasks

• Elanco Manufacturing-TSMS: Ensure products and processes are in control, capable, compliant, and continuously improving. Ensure external manufacturing organizations meet global standards. Maintain the right TS capabilities at each site.
• Commercialization of New Products: Oversee implementation and hand-over processes, ensure appropriate technical capabilities, and maintain robust manufacturing processes throughout the product lifecycle.
• Business Development and Acquisitions: Assess technical capabilities and gaps, develop agreements, and review transfer plans related to acquisitions.
• Partner with the wider TSMS team to develop talent within the function.
• Collaborate with R&D to support commercialization activities at the Huningue Pilot Plant.

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience with both drug substance and drug product manufacturing is preferred.
• Effective communication skills in multicultural settings and the ability to influence others.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships internally and externally.
• Familiarity with Elanco Global Quality Standards and corporate TS / MS processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field; advanced degrees preferred.
• At least 15 years of relevant pharma / biopharma experience, including contract manufacturing support/management.
• Experience with various manufacturing technologies and platforms.
• On-site experience as part of a manufacturing site leadership team.

Additional Preferences

• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
• No sensitivities to Elanco Animal Health products.
• Shift: Monday-Friday, with flexible hours.
