• Implement new processes and improve financial controls to ensure the health and stability of the increasingly complex business
• Own and drive financial planning and budgeting processes
• Determine resource allocation and guide Ethos’ growth and trajectory
• Develop and monitor critical financial performance metrics
• Drive corporate reporting requirements to the Board of Directors and Executive Team, including company-level KPI tracking, performance to plan, and budget-versus-actual variance analysis
• Contribute to the design and implementation of accounting and planning tools such as NetSuite and Pigment
• Drive strategic and operational initiatives
• Deliver business analytics and insights for decision‑making related to unit economics, customer acquisition, operations, core business expansion, and new opportunities
• Apply data‑driven analysis to influence decisions and support leadership in evaluating strategic initiatives
• Scale and improve corporate finance functions
• Work with business partners to develop strategic analyses on key business initiatives

Requirements

• A minimum of 12 years of relevant work experience in Corporate Finance / FP&A / Strategic Finance, preferably including 3+ years at publicly traded companies or late stage pre‑IPO companies
• Prior experience in investment banking and/or private equity / growth equity is a plus
• Best‑in‑class Excel skills and extensive experience developing insightful financial models and quantitative analyses
• Strong critical thinking and sound business judgment
• Prior experience building and leading finance teams
• Proven track record of identifying and deploying AI tools in finance workflows to improve efficiency and decision‑making
• Expert in building new processes in an enterprise financial planning system (e.g., Adaptive, Anaplan)
• Motivated self‑starter with a track record of success and ability to juggle multiple projects/tasks while hitting deadlines
• Desire to own and drive projects from Day 1
• Excellent communication skills and effective cross‑functional collaboration
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Deep understanding of valuation methods and strong working knowledge of GAAP
