Why this role is important for us

The mission of the Solutions Engineering Team is to contribute to sales cases with both current and prospective clients by leveraging business domain expertise. As a Senior Director in Solutions Engineering covering the business domain "Investment Management & Execution" - which consists of the sub-domains Portfolio Management, Trading, and Compliance - you will be responsible for a team of subject matter experts in these areas and you will collaborate closely with Sales and the other Solutions Engineering teams globally on opportunities that require business and solution knowledge for this business area. You will play a vital role in closing opportunities and meeting our growth objectives. You will contribute valuable business and solution insights into client situations, aligning with industry trends, and showcasing SimCorp's best practices in Investments solutions and services.

You will be reporting to the Head of Solutions Engineering in SimCorp EMEA.

What you will be responsible for

Leading the Solutions Engineering efforts for opportunities that require demonstrating our "Investment Management & Execution" offering and allocate resources Manage a team of 4-5 experienced Solutions Engineers Articulate and demonstrate the value proposition of the subject area to clients and prospects, including demonstrating the solution Support business development efforts including RFP responses Engage with clients and prospects frequently through presentations and demos Stay up-to-date on the subject area and effectively spread knowledge to your team Ensure the subject area demos stay up-to-date with the offering, and invest in the scalability and repeatability of our demos Developing the team's business and solution knowledge and capabilities Work closely with the Solution Architects and the Solutions Engineers to ensure that we address the value our offers bring to the prospect according to its compelling event. Ensuring alignment with SimCorp's broader teams (Product Management, Client Services, Business Services, and Commercial) to enhance our solutions and services Developing team capabilities and establishing career paths contribute to creating a steadily evolving Solutions Engineering organization with high employee engagement and establishing a continuous learning environment Developing, implementing, and maintaining Solutions Engineering tools, processes, and methodologies Participating in deal reviews, qualification, and opportunity assessment alongside the Sales team using established Sales Best Practices

Knowledge/experience in the Portfolio Management or Trading area (to a lesser extent in Compliance), market environment, its trends, challenges, and competitor landscape, translating insights into compelling messaging Ability to articulate, present and demo a solution in front of senior stakeholders Experience in presenting for portfolio managers or traders Capability to manage multiple tasks/projects with tight deadlines and high demands Deep understanding and adeptness in collaborating with clients, internal, and external partners Leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and engage employees, previous managerial experience would be a plus Ability to delegate and create challenging tasks to enhance individual employee development Affinity with technology and an innovative mindset
