Senior Director R&D - Engineering (m/f/d)

Area of Responsibilities:

1. Head of R&D activities for the entire product portfolio of the Cybex Group, focusing on Hard-Parts, Mechatronics, Detailed Engineering, Crash, Simulation (CAE and Multi Body), Biomechanics, Labs, Industrial Engineering, Patents, etc.
2. Responsible for the global Cybex Technologies team in Bayreuth, Vienna, Prag, Charlotte, and Kunshan.
3. Lead the execution of technology strategy for platforms, partnerships, and external relationships.
4. Set standards, guidelines, and processes across the group.
5. Steer and deploy sustainable product development activities.
6. Develop and broaden the product portfolio, generating and realizing new product ideas.
7. Improve and implement processes, structures, and tools in R&D, especially in product development.
8. Anticipate and react to major technological changes to maintain company leadership.
9. Establish technical standards and ensure adherence for product development and operations.
10. Support innovation and drive improvements in product development and processes.
11. Recognize and incorporate industry-related technological advances.

Profile of Qualifications:

1. Studies in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar with excellent technical understanding.
2. Extensive relevant work experience in the consumer goods industry, preferably internationally.
3. High leadership experience with interdisciplinary international teams in complex matrix organizations.
4. Management experience in family-owned companies is appreciated.
5. Several years of experience with complex mechatronic products.
6. Proven track record in managing product development projects, especially in safety-related consumer products.
7. Excellent English and German skills.
