To support our team’s mission to proactively promote climate protection, we are looking for a Senior Director Nature Based Solutions.

Your tasks

• Team Management (Team of approx. 25 people)
• Responsibility for annual division budget and monitoring of deadlines
• Participate in business strategy to improve and deliver highest quality consulting services and products
• Grow new service lines/possibly develop new methodologies in Natural Climate Solutions
• Strategic support to structure the project pipeline and to cover the client’s demand for carbon credits
• Support in project proposals/providing technical feedback
• Drive new joint ventures in Africa / South East Asia and strengthen the business in Latin America
• Represent FL in different forums and corporate events
• Gather intelligence about market trends, relevant regulation, and policies
• Responsibility for short-, mid- and long-term Carbon Inventory management
• Develop a portfolio of carbon forestry projects

Your profile

• University degree in economics, resource management, forestry, agriculture or related field
• Background in the investment world
• At least 10 years of experience in managing international teams
• At least 8 years of professional experience in sustainable land use and carbon markets
• Proven experience in managing multiple projects within an international team
• Experience in preparing business and financial plans for natural carbon projects or similar (e.g., renewable energy)
• Fluent in English; fluency in Spanish or French is an advantage
• Willingness to travel
• Professional experience in Latin America, Africa, or South-East Asia is an advantage
