Kardex Germany GmbH in Bellheim seeks a Senior Director (m/f/d) Controlling Operations to lead a global function spanning Germany and USA. You will partner with the Managing Directors to steer budgeting, forecasting, and performance management for Operations, including Supply Chain, Technology, and R&D Controlling.

Strong SAP S/4HANA and Power BI proficiency is essential to drive margin improvement and working capital initiatives.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in Finance and Controlling within industrial/manufacturing.
• Strong finance business partnering with senior leadership experience.
• Knowledge of production and supply chain metrics.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization.
• Experience driving margin improvement and working capital initiatives.
• Advanced SAP and Power BI knowledge; German and English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Act as strategic Finance Business Partner to the Managing Directors and leadership team of Operations.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, performance management, and cash planning processes.
• Drive financial transparency and business performance across Operations: Supply Chain and Technology.
• Lead Supply Chain and Manufacturing Controlling, including inventory, cost, and productivity analysis and finance transformation.
• Support strategic business decisions through financial modeling, investment evaluations, and business cases.
• Lead R&D Controlling, including project cost analysis, product portfolio analysis, cost center controlling.
• Drive margin improvement, cost optimization, and working capital management initiatives.
• Ensure governance, risk management, and internal controls.
• Develop and coach finance talent and strengthen business partnering capabilities.
• Deliver results for the business segment with full people management responsibility and succession planning.
• Contributing to the global SAP S/4HANA implementation project.

Your tasks

• Act as strategic Finance Business Partner to the Managing Directors and leadership team of Operations


• Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, performance management, and cash planning processes


• Drive financial transparency and business performance across Operations: Supply Chain and Technology


• Lead Supply Chain and Manufacturing Controlling, including inventory, cost, and productivity analysis as well as finance transformation and process improvement initiatives, including SAP and analytical solutions


• Support strategic business decisions through financial modeling, investment evaluations, and business cases


• Lead R&D Controlling, including project cost analysis, product portfolio analysis, cost center controlling


• Drive margin improvement, cost optimization, and working capital management initiatives


• Ensure effective governance, compliance, risk management, and internal controls


• Develop and coach finance talent and strengthen business partnering capabilities across the organization


• Deliver results for the business segment with full people management responsibility and succession planning accountability


• Contributing to the global SAP S/4 HANA implementation project

Your profile

• Proven leadership experience in Finance and Controlling within an industrial or manufacturing environment


• Strong Finance Business Partnering experience supporting senior leadership teams


• Knowledge of production processes is a must, preferred in a Finance/Controlling role in manufacturing industry whereby it is elementary to understand supply chain processes and operational performance metrics


• Solid track record in budgeting, forecasting, performance management, and cost optimization


• Experience driving business growth, margin improvement, and working capital initiatives


• Advanced SAP (ECC/S4HANA) and Power BI knowledge


• Excellent communicator in German and English and relationship-builder at senior levels
