Role reports to Marko Theis, VP CD&D EMEA.

Scope of Work :

Leadership & mentorship of the Beverage CD&D Team in EMEA and the creation of winning flavors for the Beverage Category.

Responsibilities :

• Leading the Beverage CD&D Team in EMEA.
• Managing the team to follow the company strategy to ensure top-line sales growth, increased operating profit, and market share protection by monitoring approach and execution on goals.
• Representing the Beverage CD&D team across the organization.
• Providing technical support to Global Key and Enterprise Accounts.
• Training flavorists and enhancing CD&D talents and capabilities.
• Supporting flavor creation expertise within the CD&D Key Account Portfolio Focus and Agile Teams.
• Building a strong flavor creation team to compete with top flavor houses.
• Supporting the Beverage Portfolio Team in identifying and filling gaps to develop a dynamic and successful portfolio across EMEA beverage categories.
• Supporting global raw material harmonization efforts.
• Contributing CD&D expertise to commercial activities and participating in customer visits.
• Collaborating closely with CD&D Sales, Marketing, Regulatory, Quality, Purchasing, and Operations teams.
• Continuously optimizing creative workflows and tools, developing GCP (Good Creative Practices) with Operations and Commercialization to optimize flavor and system production, and monitoring implementation.
• Identifying new beverage business opportunities using new technologies and raw materials, aligning with R&D to develop innovative beverage solutions.
• Creating a culture of trust and implementing psychological safety.
• Building a team where innovation is easy, routine, and fun.

Profile :

• Master's or Science degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Food Technology, or comparable education.
• Senior or Chief Scientist/Flavorist with at least 15 years of experience in the beverage industry.
• Strong leadership skills to support business success.
• Robust background in all application areas.
• Comprehensive understanding of commercial and economic aspects of the business.
• Fluent in English; German skills are appreciated; French is an added benefit.
