The Kardex Group is one of the world's leading manufacturers of dynamic storage, retrieval, and distribution systems. Our more than 2,500 employees worldwide develop and manufacture logistics solutions used in various sectors such as industrial manufacturing, retail, and administration.

We are further strengthening our SAP organization and are searching for a Senior Director Applications (m/f/d).

This is a strategic global leadership role focused on the conceptual setup of the SAP landscape worldwide. The role can be performed remotely across Europe, with willingness to travel to our sites when needed.

Tasks:

1. Define and coordinate with relevant stakeholders from management the IT applications vision, goals, and strategies; communicate these across the Kardex organization to align teams across functions and hierarchies.
2. Renew, expand, and modify the IT applications landscape in accordance with the strategic directions of Remstar and the Kardex Group.
3. Oversee multiple application rollout processes, establish priorities, coordinate with teams to create schedules and roadmaps, and develop budgets based on forecasts.
4. Identify, manage, and mitigate risks related to the IT applications landscape and business goals.
5. Deeply understand user needs and promote a user-centric approach within the team.
6. Provide leadership, coaching, mentoring, and development for direct reports; manage a high-performing team that delivers continuous improvement, added value, and cost reductions.
7. Ensure strong communication between teams to facilitate information exchange and implement changes and improvements.
8. Foster a culture that values research-backed and customer-focused data.
9. Develop organizational structure, resource plans, and culture to support business objectives and customer deliverables.

Profile:

1. Successful IT background with a university degree in information technology or similar.
2. Extensive leadership experience in a global IT applications organization.
3. Proven success in IT project rollouts, especially digitalization projects.
4. Broad SAP expertise, particularly ECC and HANA4.
5. Experience in contract negotiation and managed services.
6. Excellent communication skills across all hierarchy levels, stakeholder expectation management, fluent in English, and very good command of German.
