About the job :

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join a high-impact project for a global technology leader. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping and maintaining a modern, multi-OS development infrastructure that supports software development across Linux, Windows, macOS, and iOS platforms.

This is a remote freelance position requiring approximately 100–120 hours/month, with a flexible start date (ASAP).

Responsibilities

• Automate and optimize processes across the software development and testing lifecycle

• Maintain and enhance CI/CD systems to ensure smooth and efficient workflows

• Oversee and manage multi-platform development environments (Linux, Windows, macOS, iOS)

• Develop and maintain system tools and software infrastructure

• Act as a first-level contact for troubleshooting and debugging development environments

• Collaborate closely with embedded DevOps teams, imaging software developers, and corporate IT

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of release pipelines and development operations

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps roles across Windows, Linux, and macOS

• Proven experience working with embedded system development environments

• Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools: GitLab, Jenkins, Artifactory, CMake

• Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Shell, etc.)

• Experience with cloud platforms and/or Kubernetes is a plus

• Excellent troubleshooting skills and proactive mindset

• Fluent in English; German is a plus
