Senior DevOps Engineer Role at Mondia Group

This role is pivotal in defining, testing, implementing, and monitoring DevOps processes. The engineer will primarily work with the DevOps team to ensure seamless integration, continuous improvement, and operational excellence across all stages of the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities :

1. Work with cloud engineering and development teams to create effective CI/CD implementations, helping to configure and maintain them.
2. Proactively monitor and resolve issues in the development lifecycle.
3. Support senior software/system engineers in integrating, configuring, deploying, and managing centrally provided cloud services (e.g., IAM, networking, logging, operating systems, containers).
4. Ensure compliance with IT security standards and industry best practices.
5. Assist with release management of new software into the production platform.
6. Troubleshoot security-related issues and assist incident management.
7. Implement and support Continuous Integration and Deployment pipelines.
8. Maintain the availability of tools supporting SCM & Release Management, including source control, CI, and change management.
9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on designing and implementing scalable features for higher developer productivity, environment monitoring, and self-healing.
10. Work across teams to share capabilities and ensure platform availability and performance with a 99.9% SLA.
11. Support services using DevOps, Continuous Delivery, and ITIL concepts for effective operations.
12. Participate in on-call rotations.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, or a related field.
2. 5+ years of relevant experience in DevOps and cloud infrastructure.
3. Expert-level AWS skills with strong networking knowledge (VPC, Route53, WAF, etc.).
4. Experience with at least two cloud platforms (AWS required; Azure / GCP optional).
5. Hands-on experience with OpenSearch / Elasticsearch — setup, scaling, indexing, and visualization.
6. Proficiency in monitoring with Prometheus and Grafana.
7. Solid understanding of AWS IAM, CI/CD pipeline automation, and cloud security best practices.
8. Strong Infrastructure-as-Code experience, especially using TypeScript with AWS CDK.
9. Skilled in GitLab, Jenkins, Docker, Git, and configuration tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
10. Familiarity with microservices, containers (Docker / Kubernetes, AWS ECS), and Java / Spring.
11. Advanced Linux knowledge and scripting skills (TypeScript, Java, Python, PowerShell, Bash).
12. Understanding of SSO and Active Directory integration.
13. Experience working with Agile teams in fast-paced environments.
14. Strong automation and problem-solving skills.
15. AWS certifications preferred; security certifications (CISSP, CISA, OSCP) a plus.
