Job Description

In order to grow our local activities and secure stable growth, we’re looking for a Senior Design Engineer - Robotics. Our new colleague will take over the crucial responsibility of technical supervision in our automation projects and will report to the Manager, Application Engineering EMEA.

What you can expect from the role

• You will drive technical conversations with sales reps and our valued customers, to find optimal solutions for their needs
• Help qualify projects and support the sales team with project feasibility checks
• Application Engineers at Vention design customers’ applications: you mentor them and contribute to the development of their technical skills and knowledge
• Review Application Engineers’ machine design, automation system diagrams and logic workflow
• Collaborate with Enablement teams to secure customer satisfaction and HQ teams - like Product Management - to share European needs for future growth

This role includes travels to clients’ sites - not more than 25% of the time - and the focus on building up standards for the region.

Reporting directly to the Manager, Application Engineering EMEA, you will coach and support application engineers and review their design work. Your domain expertise in mechanical design, automation and robotics will elevate your growing team’s technical knowledge and enable you to identify training opportunities for them.

Qualifications

You’re exactly who we’re looking for, if:

• You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the Automation field, like in a System Integrator field, with experience in a broad range of industrial automation applications
• You have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or any other related engineering field
• You are proficient in German and English - another major European language is a plus
• In your previous or current role, your peers look to you for mentorship and support
• You thrive in fast-paced environments which requires to handle multiple projects simultaneously
