PURPOSE & OVERALL RELEVANCE FOR THE ORGANISATION

• Visual communication of the brand values of our products. Your goal is to secure and further develop the brand’s industry leading position. You will lead a design department within the Design area in Herzogenaurach.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate closely with Marketing and Development to implement strategies, concepts, and projects for various collections.
• Work with Development and Tech Services to resolve issues related to our main products, from Tech Packs to marketing.
• Maintain open communication with the Human Resources department.
• Critique and improve the design process and create a new platform for direct reporting lines.
• Represent the design team in collaborations with other departments.
• Ensure proper and appropriate use of brand technology across different areas.
• Ensure compliance with brand identity attributes and their application.
• Maintain communication with the line manager and the department.
• Stay updated on consumer trends, cultural trends, sports culture, and athletic insights.
• Align with nearby design departments to develop optimal product opportunities.
• Represent a strong design team when interacting with other departments.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Bachelor’s degree (4 years) in Industrial Design, Art, or a related field, or a minimum of 10 years of experience in the field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 5 years of experience leading Design teams.
• Practical experience in Design, including management experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of product design with a clear understanding of the athletics market and its culture.
• Practical knowledge of computer design software/systems and MS Office.
