Senior Data Scientist (m/f/d) in Mannheim

Core responsibilities

1. Business Collaboration: Partner and collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand their strategies, needs, and objectives.
2. Data Integration: Connect data from various sources, collaborating with Operations Managers and engineers to develop comprehensive data solutions.
3. Data Preparation: Use statistical and analytical methods to understand the data, perform data cleansing, and feature engineering to prepare data for machine learning use cases.
4. Modeling Expertise: Develop and evaluate regression models, demonstrating a strong understanding of modeling techniques.
5. Insight Communication: Communicate outcomes compellingly and accessibly to support product development and decision-making.

The skillset we are looking for

1. Experience in data analysis and machine learning (specifically regression or reinforcement learning), preferably within a business context.
2. Strong enthusiasm for data crunching and wrangling.
3. Good applied statistical skills, including knowledge of statistical tests, distributions, regression, and maximum likelihood estimators.
4. Proficiency in SQL and Python for data exploration and model building.
5. A proactive and collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas.
7. A passion for learning, hands-on work, taking ownership, and making an impact.
8. Experience in developing and implementing generative AI models and algorithms.
9. Familiarity with natural language processing (NLP) and computer vision for generative AI applications.
