Join our global team as Senior Data Scientist (f/m/d) to contribute to the success of Siemens Healthineers Procurement Digital Innovation and Development Center.

Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours. Mobile working from abroad is possible for up to 30 days a year under certain conditions and in selected countries.

Your tasks and responsibilities

• You develop innovative digital and AI solutions for the procurement organization, focusing on designing and implementing AI assistants and intelligent automation tools to drive efficiency and business impact
• You act as a full-stack AI developer, handling the full lifecycle from data engineering and modeling to algorithm development, programming, and user interface design
• Lead technical projects and mentor junior team members, providing guidance on data science methods, coding best practices, and architectural decisions to ensure high-quality results
• Analyze and interpret complex procurement datasets, identify optimization opportunities, and translate findings into scalable, data-driven solutions supporting strategic decision-making
• Collaborate closely in a global, cross-functional innovation team, working with internal stakeholders and experts to deliver cutting-edge solutions in an agile environment

Your qualifications and experience

• You have a completed Master\'s/Diploma degree in data science, mathematics, (business) computer science, statistics or a comparable field
• You have several years of professional experience in AI/ML, Business Analytics, Big Data and ideally in procurement or supply chain management
• You have strong knowledge of databases, data modeling, cloud platforms, data mining and analytics, RPA, and AI technologies (ML, NLP, conversational platforms); advanced skills in SQL, Python, and Azure
• You are familiar with CI/CD concepts, AI/ML frameworks and libraries
• Experience with tools such as Snowflake, GitHub, Databricks, OpenAI or Copilot is a plus
• You have a solid understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, data preprocessing and feature engineering; experience with API integration and data/AI regulatory compliance
• Knowledge in IT Software Development and project management is a plus

• With strong stakeholder and user focus, excellent communication and presentation skills in English; able to present results to managers, stakeholders, end users and experts
• You have an autonomous, structured and well-organized way of working with excellent time management and critical thinking skills
• As you will be working on global use cases, you are willing to travel domestically and internationally
