What you'll do
- Solve complex business problems using data science tools to find solutions for challenges involving both big and small data, delivering insights and value to the organization.
- Be part of a data science team within our Data Science Center of Excellence, contributing your expertise and expanding your knowledge through collaboration.
- Collaborate closely with our Data Science Engineering team using agile methods to deliver high-quality data products efficiently.
- Participate actively in cross-functional projects aligned with our data & analytics strategy, exploring emerging technologies to maximize their potential.
- Establish yourself as a Data Science ambassador across business units, focusing on creating high impact and value through data and analytics.
What makes you a good fit
- Master’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., physics, mathematics, bioinformatics, computer science, computational finance); PhD is a plus.
- At least 2 years of relevant industry experience in data science or advanced analytics; experience in the chemical and consumer goods industry is advantageous.
- Strong technical skills, including proficiency in scripting languages (Python, R), data processing frameworks (SQL, Spark), cloud infrastructure (Azure), and collaboration tools (version control, Scrum/Kanban, MLOps).
- Extensive experience in data preparation, modeling, analysis, and visualization, with expertise in areas such as time-series analysis, machine learning, deep learning, statistical modeling, or optimization.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to collaborate with non-technical teams, translating business needs into data science tasks and communicating results effectively through data storytelling and visualization.
- Fluency in English required; German skills are a plus.
