About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Protection Manager (m/f/d) to join our Corporate Compliance Team in Munich. If you are interested to help us meet compliance with data protection regulations then this is the position for you. You will be working with our data protection management tool Schleupen R2C Security to document our environment. As part of your role you will be the local responsible for data protection of BayWa r.e. AG

What you will do

• You improve the Data Protection Management System of BayWa r.e. AG

• You consult IT Projects of BayWa r.e. AG

• You document and evaluate processing activities

• You improve the deletion and retention concept

• You evaluate providers, sub-processors and contracts

• You assess the risk of data transfers and conduct data protection impact assessments

• You support local data protection advisors of other Legal Entities

• You collaborate with several other departments, e.g. IT, Marketing and HR

• You provide guidance and trainings

• You provide reports and support internal and external audits

What you’ll need to succeed

• 3+ years' experience in Data Protection Management

• Data Protection Certification

• Comprehensive knowledge about GDPR

• Knowledge of IT Risk management, ISO 27001

• First experiences with one or more of the above-mentioned Data Security Topics

• Relevant university degree (Legal, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems and Management) or a comparable qualification

• Knowledge of AI Act, and similar regulation desirable

• German (C1) and English (C1)

• Strong English written and verbal communications are essential

• Proven ability to offer high level support in an enterprise environment

• Presentation of a simple certificate of good conduct
