As a Senior Data Engineer at Crewmeister, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping data-driven strategies that impact the entire company. You'll lead the design and optimization of our data warehouse, making critical insights accessible to our teams while building predictive models to drive proactive decisions. This role is perfect for someone who's passionate about transforming data into actionable insights, collaborating cross-functionally, and mentoring emerging talent-all within a dynamic SaaS environment. Responsibilities:

  • Extend and maintain a professional, comprehensive and accurate data warehouse that centralises and structures our data Manage all data pipelines into the warehouse, from various internal and external systems. Develop and maintain the permissions in the data warehouse.
  • Provide and promote usage of KPIs across the organisation and deliver clear, simple KPI values with consistent visualisations to show actual performance, target achievements, and trends at all levels. Highlight areas where performance meets expectations and where action is required.
  • Provide specialised, data driven dashboards for the business departments to conduct in-depth analyses on relevant business metrics and dimensions.
  • Develop and maintain predictive models to forecast trends, customer behaviour, and potential risks, enabling proactive decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Lead interns and working students.
Qualifications:
  • Strong commitment to understanding the company's operations, goals, and performance drivers within all departments
  • Expertise in designing, building, and optimizing data warehouses; experience with data modeling, schema design, and data pipeline development. Specific experience with Google BigQuery is a plus
  • Experience with integrating data from a variety of sources, including APIs, web services, and third-party applications
  • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation, ETL development, and automation
  • Familiarity with visualization and BI tools to support the design of dashboards and clear, actionable data presentations. Specific experience with Google LookerStudio is a plus
  • Experience with predictive modeling, time series analysis, and customer behavior analysis to anticipate trends and enable proactive decisions
  • Familiarity with tools like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn (not required, but a plus)
  • Proactive and creative approach to diagnosing and solving data challenges
  • Ability to interpret complex data and communicate actionable insights
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering (preferably in SaaS)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Fluent English language skills
