Your Tasks:

We are seeking a skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop data pipelines that enable data-driven decision-making. Your role involves designing, building, and maintaining a state-of-the-art data platform, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and reliability. Working closely with data analysts and backend developers, you will play a key role in fostering a data-driven culture and ensuring our infrastructure scales with growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain data pipelines and the data platform.
  • Manage data ingestion from various sources, optimizing for efficiency and reliability.
  • Collaborate with data analysts on complex data transformations, implementing orchestration tools and quality checks.
  • Oversee operational aspects of the data platform, including performance tuning and capacity management.
  • Engage in continuous learning, review, and adaptation, fostering shared ownership and decision-making.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, promoting best practices in data engineering.
Your Profile:
  • Proven experience with large-scale distributed data workloads.
  • Advanced SQL and OLAP skills, with experience developing data pipelines and models at scale.
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes (EKS), and management.
  • Excellent communication skills; a team player who enjoys mentoring and sharing knowledge.
  • Autonomous, proactive, and customer-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Experience with Analytical Engineering and Data modelling.
  • Knowledge of data governance, quality, and compliance practices.
Nice to Have:
  • Experience with programming languages like Java or Scala.
  • Experience with streaming and pub/sub technologies.
  • Experience deploying and managing ML models.
  • Expertise in real-time and batch data processing for analytical and ML use cases.
Our Preferred Tech Stack:
  • Strong knowledge of Python and SQL.
  • Tools like Airbyte/Fivetran, Dagster, and dbt for pipelines.
  • Extensive AWS experience or strong knowledge of other cloud platforms.
  • OLAP systems such as Clickhouse, Snowflake, Redshift, or Databricks.
  • Streaming technologies like Kafka or Kinesis.
  • IaC tools like Terraform.
  • Experience with Java or Scala, Hadoop, Spark, CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, ArgoCD is a plus.
