The roleWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will architect and implement scalable data infrastructure and pipelines, working closely with data scientists, analytics, and product teams to develop impactful solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of software and data engineering, cloud technologies, and big data frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and implement scalable data infrastructure using modern tools, services, and cloud environments
- Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for large datasets from various sources
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to meet data needs
- Work with DevOps and IT teams for seamless deployment
- Optimize data storage and retrieval for performance
- Implement data governance, security, and compliance best practices
- Maintain and update data infrastructure with latest technologies
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines for reliability
What we are looking for- Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 7+ years in software development and 5+ years in data engineering, focusing on data lakehouse or warehouse solutions
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Apache Spark, Snowflake, Databricks) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Proficiency in Java/Kotlin, Python, or Scala
- Strong SQL and relational database skills
- Experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT, and orchestration tools like Apache Airflow
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with real-time processing (Kafka, Kinesis)
- Knowledge of machine learning workflows and MLOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, MLflow)
- Understanding of data governance and compliance frameworks (GDPR, CCPA)
