Tasks
  1. Design, develop, optimize, and maintain data architecture.
  2. Design and maintain ingestion of multiple data sources.
  3. Analyze, manipulate, transform and process large and complex datasets.
  4. Enable training and running machine learning models.
  5. Build real-time data pipelines.
  6. Help our customers to become cloud-native and data-driven companies.
  7. Support your team with active knowledge transfer.
  8. Influence the introduction of new tools, methodologies, and techniques.
  9. Work in an agile environment and cross-functional team.
Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Python or Scala and SQL.
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, data engineering, or a relevant field like mathematics or physics.
  • Experience in semantic modeling of complex data landscapes and familiarity with Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Data Vault, Data Mart concepts.
  • Deep understanding of various data stores, both structured and unstructured, including distributed filesystems, SQL, and NoSQL databases.
  • Ability to structure data pipelines for reliability, scalability, and performance.
  • Comfort working with analytics processing engines like Spark or Flink.
  • Experience with various storage formats such as JSON, Parquet, ORC, and knowing when to use each.
  • Fluent in English; German language skills are a plus.
Bonus Experience (Nice to Have)
  • ML Engineering & MLOps experience, including deployment and monitoring using tools like MLFlow, Kubeflow, TensorFlow Serving.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure (Databricks), Snowflake, AWS, or Google Cloud.
  • Building real-time data pipelines with tools like Kafka, Kinesis, Dataflow, or RabbitMQ.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD processes for data pipelines and ML models, using tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Airflow.
