We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team, responsible for the efficient, reliable, secure, and compliant propagation of datasets across the company to our data warehouses. This team is crucial for enabling data-driven decision making at SoundCloud.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with infrastructure engineering on back-end integrations and build software for data flow from sources to data warehouses and real-time data transformation systems.
• Design and implement scalable, distributed, real-time data pipelines.
• Develop secure data services using languages like Go, Scala, and Java.
• Utilize Google Cloud Platform services such as DataFlow, BigTable, AI Platform, BigQuery, Kafka, Kubernetes, Spark, Airflow, Terraform.

Experience and Background:

• 3+ years of back-end engineering experience, with 1-2 years in data processing pipelines, preferably in GCP.
• Experience designing real-time data processing systems and making informed technical decisions.
• Strong individual contributor with problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable participating in architecture discussions and planning.
• Experience working with large-scale data infrastructure (PBs scale).

Nice-To-Have:

• Cloud migration experience.
• Experience deploying ML models in production.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools and technologies.
