Jobbeschreibung

Responsibilities (Text Only)

1. Apply advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting expertise to quickly identify the cause of issues.
2. Decommission hardware for complex changes and/or systems with complex interactions.
3. Delegate hardware installation, deployment, and/or replacement work to technicians while providing expert guidance for preparing, staging, setting up, and performing startups and shutdowns.
4. Ensure quality execution as defined by organizational standards, coordinate downtime, and keep relevant stakeholders informed of work status to minimize downstream rework.
5. Ensure that technicians perform post-execution quality checks and verify that grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling are set up in compliance with safety protocols, deployment standards, and planned Network Design Tasks.
6. Train and mentor technicians through on-the-job training and by providing direct guidance on specific tasks.
7. Attend, conduct, or assist in conducting daily safety briefings, complete required safety training, and provide guidance to technicians to facilitate compliance with safety procedures (e.g., PPE usage, equipment use, lifting, electrical hazards, ladder/rolling stair use).

Qualifications (Text Only)

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent, with basic knowledge of computer hardware and components supporting IT equipment or related technology.
• Ability to work shifts, including non-standard hours such as evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including passing the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in a production, mission-critical 24x7x365 data center environment.
• Applicable certifications such as ASICS/Inventory Control, CompTIA (A+, Server+, Network+), Basic Structure Cabling (BSC), Data Center Foundation Certification (DCFC), Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Vendor-Specific Network Certifications.
