Jobtailor in Essen seeks a skilled data analytics professional to own and optimize exchange accounting processes, delivering actionable insights for management.

You will leverage SQL, Power BI, Power Query and Excel to build scalable reporting, collaborate across Accounting, Risk, Trading and Operations, and drive continuous improvement in a data-driven finance environment.

Qualifikationen

• Strong IT or finance background, ideally with exposure to commodity trading, exchange-traded products, clearing or settlement processes.
• Proven experience in data analysis, process optimisation and automation within commodity trading, energy markets, financial services or another data-intensive environment.
• Confident handling large data sets using SQL, advanced Excel, Power Query or Power BI.
• Ability to independently drive process improvements and translate business requirements into scalable analytical solutions.
• Strong communication, ownership and collaboration skills.
• Fluent business English.
• Ability to align international, cross-functional stakeholders.
• Good understanding of exchange-traded products, derivatives, margining and related business workflows is advantageous.
• Experience with Python or another programming language is advantageous.
• Experience with commodity trading platforms and systems such as Endur or SAP S/4HANA is advantageous.
• Knowledge of accounting, risk management, financial reporting or regulatory requirements within commodity trading and exchange-related businesses is advantageous.
• Good German language skills are advantageous.
